Whatca Workin On Wednesday and an Update

Wow it's been awhile but I actually have something I can post for Whatca workin on Wednesday. Hard to believe but true.

I'm still making doll dress for my grandma, two down one to go. Also I'm working on a couple of gingerbread men for a friend.

Last week Sandy posted some easy candy canes so I thought I'd give em a try. I'm still working on getting them wrapped up but it's coming alog pretty quickly and I should be able to get them aged sometime today. Thanks for the idea Sandy, your a doll.

I'm working on some knitting too but didn't take a picture incase the relative I'm knitting for decides to take a peek at my blog.

Now for my kitty update. Thanks to everyone for their kind words. Whiskers is doing much better. As it turns out he did not need to have his toe amputated. The vet just stitched it up, however he may not be able to retract his claw on that toe. We are not sure yet and wont know til his bandange is removed. He is starting to walk a few steps at a time before his back legs give out but a few is better than none. He may never completely walk as he once did only time will tell. I'm just happy he survived all this. He is a permanant indoor cat from now on.

My furnance was an easy fix thank goodness. A wire had come loose and my grandpa was able reattach it with no problem. I was so glad it cost me nothing to fix it.
Well I must go get ready for work. Take Care and Have a Happy Thanksgiving

I sure miss you gals. I did find some time though to make a few christmas ornaments for the shop. They turned out really cute.

Also made a stitcherie that I will be turning into a pillow. I am having somuch fun right now with making things for the shop.

Today is wet and rainy and my living room cieling is leaking. It has nver leaked before so I am wondering if it is damage from the wind storm we ha a few weeks ago. It has not really rainned much since then so we didn't know until now. So guess what Dh will be workin on. LOL It's not a big leak but still a leak is a leak and I want it fixed before it gets any bigger.

Well now that you now what I'm working on be sure to Stop by and see what Leslie and the rest of the ladies are working on. That' where I'm heading right now.

Whatcha Workin' on Wednesday.

Lets see what did I worked on this week? Well I managed to get to the Back Woods Fest last Friday and bought 10 gourds. They now currently sit in my storage room waiting to be turned into lights. I did get one done though. But I'm not sure if I like it as well as my star gourd. But I can't do them all the same now can I? LOL

Next Wayne made me up some doors to paint. They are just small wooden doors that hang on the wall. I have four more to do but I am having a hard time trying to figure out what colors to paint them. I also want to sand them to give them a more worn look but my sand paper seems to have grown legs and run off. Guess I'll just have to buy more when I get off work tonight.

I have a bird house that needs painted also. But I just don't seem to have enough time to get all my projects done right now.

Just last week I was whinning because I didn't have much to do and now I've got more than enough. That old saying is true "Becareful what you wish for.. You just might get it." LOL
Now ya know what I'm workin on. Besure to stop by and see what Leslie and the rest of the Wednesday bunch are workin on.

Whatcha Workin' on Wednesday

Not really much to show this week for Whatca Workin' On Wednesday. I did manage to make an Ohio State towel not really my thing but I have to make what sells and around here Ohio State stuff sells like hot cakes.

I have plans to make up a few of the gourd light. Thanks Cindy B for the ideas and tips. I took it to the booth last Friday and put up signing saying more coming soon I am keeping that one for me. Donnely said she had at leat 10 people ask to buy it. So now I just have to get the gourds. Friday I will be going to the Backwoods Fest where I'll be picking up as many as my car will hold.

Hubby has a few requests for some of his woodwork also. Now I've got to get his butt in gear and get him workin on projects too.
Thanks for the comments on my last post. I wrote down all your advice. i realsize I am stressing myself too much worrying about getting people to buy things. It wont be any fun if I'm stressin over so I'm just gonna chill and not worry. I mean we've only just started the bussiness of selling our wares so not everyone knows we are there yet. I have to give it time for the word to get out and let it happen on it own.
Well now that I've bored you to tears with my ramblings head on over and see what Leslie and the rest of the Wednesday bunch are workin on

Whatcha Workin' on Wednesday

Remember the gourd I cut the star out of and painted mustard yellow well I just wasn't happy with it but wasn't sure what else to do with it. After seeing Cindy B's gourd light, I fell in love with it and I knew I had to make one. However I don't have all the supplies on hand to make one like her's but I did one similar using what I had. I scrubbed all the paint off and let it dry. Then I started makin it purty and now I am very pleased with it.
And next Friday when my friends and I head to the Backwoods Fest I am going to load up on gourds and make some like Cindy did. I can hardly wait.

That's about all I have for today other than the crate Wayne did for me. See him hard at work.
Isn't he just so wonderful to make things for me. This crate now hangs on the wall of our booth and holds some grubby jars and a couple hand towels. I'll have to get some pics so you can see how nice the booth is coming along.
Well thats all for now be sure to stop over and see what Leslie and the rest of the Wednesday Bunch are workin on.

Whatcha Workin' on Wednesday

Don't really have alot to show this week except a few grubby jars. The grubby mixture is my own special blend of spices and coffee. They smell so good while making them. So far I have two finished and 2 that I am working on. I have one jar left to do. I am also considering making some feed sacks. found some labels that would look great on them. Maybe I'll get them done up by next week to show ya.

I do have a couple dish towels I am still working on so sorry no pics this time. And a stitchery I am working on for a swap Kim. Wow I guess I've got more going on than I thought. Now that ya know what I am working on stop over and see what Leslie and the rest of the Wednesday girls are doing.

Whatcha Workin' on Wednesday

Even though Leslie is not at home for hosting this today I figured I show ya what I'm working on anyway. It's a wet and rainy day here and a little chilly too. Makes for good sleepin weather.

I actually have very little to show today other than this little doll that has been waiting for some clothes since April which I am finally getting around to giving her. She is an original pattern made up by ME. I just couldn't find the right fabric for her until now and since it's fall I knew that she just had to have a fall outfit.

The rest of my project are just knid of sitting in limbo waiting to be finished.Maybe I'll have them to show next week. Til tehn and enjoy your Wednesday and as Porky Pig says "That' all Folks."

Whatcha Workin' on Wednesday

Wednesday again already? Wow how time flies when you creating. I've been on a roll this week in getting things done. Not only did I get the Andie doll done I showed you a couple of days ago but I also finished my Halloween Doll, Miss Betty Boo. A Cats Pyjamas Pattern. Isn't she adorable. The little white pimpkin was her orginal head it didn't work out as a head so I went with some wool felt instead and it works great.

I am also working on a Tennessee Ridge Primitives Pattern.

I am making this for a door prize at my annual Autumn Celebrate comming up in October. More about the party as it gets closer.

I am working on a few others things in that I can't show you yet since they are for my birthday giveaway to be annouced on Friday. Guess that means you'll have to check back to find out what it will be. See ya in the comments and don't forget to stop by and see what Leslie and the rest of the girls are workin on.

Whatcha Workin' on Wednesday

I actually have a good bit to show this time. I've been a busy busy girl this past week.

First is a 22inch doll I am working on for a special order. This doll will personalized. It is for a little boy who will be born on my birthday 8-25. How cool is that. This doll has not been an easy on for me. I sorta stressed out about it cause this is my first special order. But then I realized I was making it too hard on myself and once I stopped worrying the doll is coming along nicely. I do hope they will like it. My apologies to Donnely for spazing. She knows what I am talking about.

You may ask what this strange looking orange thing is. Well it is a doll head. I know you can't tell it right now but believe me it is. It's a Halloween doll. I'll show the rest of the doll next week.

I had a lonely ole gourd sitting around collecting dust and I thought Hmm what can I do with it and then decided a birdhouse would be a nice project for it. I seem to be on a star kick lately with my birdhouses. But it looks too plain to me. Any ideas as to what would spruce it up?

And finally a white pumpkin.I love white pumpkins. This pumpkin was actually supposed to be a doll head but it didn't work out right so I just added some leaves and a stem and it was great as a pumpkin. I just love Fall!

So now that ya know what I'm workin on stop by and see what Leslie and the rest of the Wednesday bunch are workin on.

Whatcha Workin' on Wednesday

It's that time again and I actually have some things to show you this time.
First is the birdhouse I promised.
Blue is my favorite color. I think any bird would be pleased to have such a fine looking house.

Then I couldn't wait to show these to you.

Yep it's halloween bowl fillers. I found the pattern at Annie's Cupboard in her free patterns section. They were quick and easy and oh so fun to make.I love Fall and Halloween!

So now that you know what I'm workin' on why not stop over and see what Leslie's workin on.
Be sure to stop back I might actually have a doll to show you soon.

Whatcha Workin' on Wednesday

After weeks of reading her blog I officially joinned Leslie so I thought I'd show you what I whipped up today.

Some napkins made from homespun fabric.

We are trying to cut back on using so many paper towels and I thought this was a great way to do so. I have 8 more to hem.I used fabric that I already had so it didn't cost much since the fabric was only 50 cents a yard. I bought right after Christmas. I can get 4 napkins out of 3/4 of a yard. And a plus to using these napkins is the fact that they can be washed and reused unlike a paper towel.

So now that ya know what I'm workin' on be sure to stop by and see what Leslie is workin' on
