Shelf Re-do

Earlier today I posted a pic of my shelf after I redecorated.I thought it needed something more. Lisa of The Moonlit Stitch suggested I frame some fabric and put up above the pic. I thought it was a great idea but didn't really like any fabric I had. But I did happen to find this bird nest picture on the internet and thought it would look great. It turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. I love how it looks now.

    If it were me, I'd replace the doll with something that has a lower profile. Everything is so tall and the doll is out of proportion with the bird and birdhouse. How about a small wood bowl with some grass or a nest in it? or a short vase overfilled with short-stemmed flowers? Just an idea....

    I think there is too many things on the shelf
    and it looks crowded.

    My son is 38 and my daughter is 31 and I have
    grandbabies.
