Whatcha Workin' on Wednesday

I actually have a good bit to show this time. I've been a busy busy girl this past week.

First is a 22inch doll I am working on for a special order. This doll will personalized. It is for a little boy who will be born on my birthday 8-25. How cool is that. This doll has not been an easy on for me. I sorta stressed out about it cause this is my first special order. But then I realized I was making it too hard on myself and once I stopped worrying the doll is coming along nicely. I do hope they will like it. My apologies to Donnely for spazing. She knows what I am talking about.

You may ask what this strange looking orange thing is. Well it is a doll head. I know you can't tell it right now but believe me it is. It's a Halloween doll. I'll show the rest of the doll next week.

I had a lonely ole gourd sitting around collecting dust and I thought Hmm what can I do with it and then decided a birdhouse would be a nice project for it. I seem to be on a star kick lately with my birdhouses. But it looks too plain to me. Any ideas as to what would spruce it up?

And finally a white pumpkin.I love white pumpkins. This pumpkin was actually supposed to be a doll head but it didn't work out right so I just added some leaves and a stem and it was great as a pumpkin. I just love Fall!

So now that ya know what I'm workin on stop by and see what Leslie and the rest of the Wednesday bunch are workin on.

  1. How Cute, you have been busy! I think the birdhouse looks cute as is.

    I love the White Pumpkin!

    Take care,

  2. Oh I really like that gourd... It would look great on my porch. LOL

  3. Your special order looks as if it's coming together just fine.
For some reason it tends to be so easy to stress ourselves glad you realized what you were doing and can enjoy making your doll now. I love the white pumpkin too.
I have some extra gourds lying around and might try cutting a star in one too... if you don't mind.
Also said in your comment this morning something about cooking green beans in milk...never heard of that before would you share your recipe. I would love to try it.
    Have a great day!

  4. Love your star in your gord, you did a great job cutting it out! Beth

  5. Oh, I can't wait to see the dolls completed :) That is too funny that your white pumpkin started as a doll head...who would have guessed? And I'm obsessed with stars, too! Stars and berry vines :)

I spazz from time to time, too. It's always my fault. I put too much pressure on myself. Like I expect to have something done in too short of a time or I'm just being too picky. It always works out, I just have to remind myself to take a deep breath!

    Have a great weekend!

Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate your comments.
